Dave, do you still do the annual letter to WOTC?

FASRIP or 4 Colors (or whatever its called now) seems to be alive and well. I'm getting that bug to file the serial numbers of TS/S.I. again. Anyone else feeling that bug?

I haven't written to WotC in a few years now. It might be worthwhile again though as they are no longer publishing d20 Modern. I'll give it some thought.

Yea, that would be cool. They haven't done anything on their main D20 Modern site since Jan 26 2007.

Sorry, having problems with my home internet account (and, given that I work from home, by work internet account is also affected :() so my mind has been elsewhere. I will look into writing to WotC (either by snail mail or email) as soon as my internet is working fully again.

I was curious if you had sent it out? I realize that the odds are slim to none that they will say yes. If you do, remind them that they have blown off D20 Modern for two and a half years.

If you lack the ambition to do it I understand from all the years you did send the letters only to have them keep saying no. Also with the fact that they don't want to sell PDFs any more tends to make one think they don't really care much about the digital users. I think they see us as a small niche of a small niche of people.

I'm still trying to find out who the Licencing Manager is nowadays. I'm just waiting on a reply from someone I know who works for WotC to get that information and then I'll send the letter out.

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you. I've been curious how the folks at http://www.f4fbbs.com/StarFrontiers/ can post the actual rules so boldly and WotC resists anything like that for TSSI. It kind of gave me hope.

The Star Frontiers people got permission from David Wiese some years ago. Unfortunately, it's different folks at WotC now and they aren't as open

How long is a copyright valid for and when would the Top Secret / S.I. expire?

In the case of Top Secret/S.I. (which I'm presuming was a work for hire - as is standard in the industry) then it lasts for 95 years from the year of first publication so 2082 (or so).
