Agency Structure and Training

The Agency assigns ranks based on seniority, mission completion, and a variety of other criteria. While the Agency rank structure is significantly different from military rank structure, Agency personnel are treated as having an honorary rank by related military organizations. The agent is considered to have a superior date of rank to any military personnel encountered. An agent’s rank gives him a number of benefits, the most prominent of which is an increasingly larger paycheck and a better clearance level.

Bird of Prey Prestige Class

I wrote up this PrC because I saw a gap in the PrCs in the Soldier/Wheelman Class Guide. I wanted to see a PrC that focused on deep infiltration and scouting. While some of this need is filled by the Fixer/Pointman Class Guide, I still see a bit of a gap. Think along the lines of the Rangers from the computer game “Ghost Recon” and you have a general idea of what I am trying to emulate with this PrC. FWIW, I would love to hear some feedback on the forums about this or anything else you see on this site.

Bodyguard Prestige Class

The bodyguard is the guy you call when you need someone protected well and good. This guy is a specialist at stopping attempts on his charge’s life. The bodyguard will even put his own life on the line to protect his charge. They are a serious type with no time for games. It is expect that you will follow their orders or you will lose their expertise.

Bounty Hunter Prestige Class

Bounty hunters are the bane of any criminal that has “jumped bail”. Employed by bail bondsmen, their livelihood depends on being able to track down, and apprehend, their targets. Bounty hunters come from many walks of live but all require to be licensed by the local authorities.

Bushi Prestige Class

Bushido is the Way of the Warrior. This is the honorable set of virtues the Bushi follows. Not only a soldier, but also nobility, the Bushi tempers his soul by entering combat respecting his enemies the same as he respects his own lord.

d20 Net Running Conversion

This document is a conversion of the Cyberpunk 2020 netrunning rules (C2020, pages 127-174) into a d20 System format (more specifically for Spycraft, but usable with any d20 System). It is highly recommended that players or gamemasters wishing to use this conversion read the referenced section in its entirety before employing these rules.

Drill Instructor NPC Class

The scariest person during recruit training is the drill instructor. It’s his job to transform raw recruits from civilians into the lean, mean, fighting machine that can be a productive member of the armed forces. Hardcore professional soldiers, the fear and respect that the drill instructor instils is felt throughout a soldier’s years of service, and beyond.

Duellist Prestige Class

The duelist ignores all other paths to travel the Way of the Sword. He IS the blade, it dances, in his hands, moving left and right, bending to his will. The blade flows like water, without thought, rising and crashing as a wave falling upon the rocks.

Fame

Rules for fame based on those in the James Bond 007 RPG.

Gambler Prestige Class

From the card-playing cowboy to the casino visiting gentleman, those with the luck of the Gambler are often well known in their establishments. The Gambler masters the luck of cards and applies to that living life as stylish as possible. Usually Gamblers are picked up when caught cheating and the agency realizes their knack for luck, but just as often the Gambler’s high life leads them right in danger they have to get themselves out of.

GC Control Aid

A sheet detailing brief notes on PCs.

Guardian Prestige Class

Resolute in his position, the Guardian never backs down from a fight, even if the fight doesn’t involve fists or swords. Steeped in the training of both magic and combat, the Guardian can handle any threat.

Gun Runners

This scenario was originally written for the 1999 Royal Air Force Wargaming Association Role Playing Competition using the Top Secret/S.I. rules. It was updated in 2002 for use with the Spycraft rules and updated, and revised, in 2008 for use with the Savage Worlds rules.

Hit Locations and Aimed Shots

Simplified from my original hit location rules: when taking an aim action a character may increase their attack threat range by taking a penalty to hit equal to twice the threat range increase.

Initiative Cards

Interactive Character Sheet

An interactive character sheet for Spycraft.

Juggernaut Prestige Class

Often as tall and wide as a mountain, the Juggernaut is more of a small wall than a large man. So determined to not fall against his enemies, the Juggernaut can even inspire his allies to stand and fight.

Magic

This set of Mystic and Psion rules is intended to provide an alternative to the existing Spycraft/Shadowforce Archer rules for magic use. These alternate rules tend to suit a more active style of magic use, while not requiring the character spend levels on a magic using class. Enjoy!

Martial Artist Class

The martial artist is a specialist at unarmed and melee combat. They are heavily trained to use their body to its fullest potential. The martial artist also has the skills in using melee weapons to deadly effect. They do not rely heavily on ranged weapons, especially firearms.

Martial Arts Styles Part 1

I picked up the Pan-Asian Collective sourcebook for Shadowforce Archer – mostly because I have been dying for some descent d20 martial arts rules. The book does a good job in presenting a good deal of options for a martial artist, including some nice stance feats. But man, oh man, there are just too many feats right now for Spycraft/SFA. This is one approach to help maximize the use of a character’s feat slots while also giving them a bit more color.

Playboy Spy Prestige Class

The playboy spy, a staple of espionage novels for many years, nearly never sets out with the intention of becoming a spy. It’s more something he falls into, normally as a result of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, that is not to say he doesn’t have something to offer, and those who would underestimate him do so at their own risk.
